During this year's National Apprenticeships Week (10-14 February 2025) the first cohort of level 7 archivist and records manager apprentices have been working on digital preservation, risk management, collections locations & storage, information and cyber security.
The second cohort have been considering theoretical ideas about the records continuum, as well as 'critical' archives approaches drawing on work from the UK and internationally and what these look like in practice.
Huge shout out to all our fantastic apprentices and their learning and development as individuals, and to their employers for creating these opportunities and supporting them. It's a privilege to be able to support you on this journey.
As you can see, apprenticeships are rooted in practice in the workplace, and are delivered against a standard created and endorsed by the sector.
